Maximising Sales

Independent Retailers and Cash & Carry Hints & Tips

  1. Ensure the correct space is given to Paste, Brush and Rinse with paste getting at least 50% of the space

  2. Flow is brush, paste then rinse & ancillaries

  3. Merchandise by brand first then segment (Brand enables the shopper to navigate easily)

  4. Prices should flow left to right and down to up (Good/Better/Best)

  5. The best selling shelf is the shelf just below eye-level. NPD (New Product Development) or growth categories are ideally positioned on this shelf
